What is required in the ninth commandment?

The ninth commandment requires the maintaining and promoting of truth between man and man (Zechariah 8:16), and of our own (1 Peter 3:16; Acts 25:10) and our neighbour's good name (2 John 1:12), especially in witness-bearing (Proverbs 14:5,25).
